Terms which are capitalized but not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings assigned in the Terms of Use.
PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY TO UNDERSTAND HOW WE PROCESS INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THE PLATFORM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, DO NOT USE THE PLATFORM.
Information We Collect
When you use the Platform, we collect a variety of information from and about you as described below.
a. Information We Collect Directly From You. If you choose to use the Platform, including, without limitation, by creating a User Account, making a transaction, contacting us or otherwise interacting with the Platform, we may collect information from you. In order to receive or obtain products or services or access Content on the Platform, you may be required to provide us with certain information, including, for example, your name, e-mail address, and information about your organization. Failure to provide such data may make it impossible for us to provide you with our products, services or Content. We may collect the following types of information from these sources when you agree to use the Platform:
- Contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Log-in information, such as the username and password you use to access the Platform or create your User Account.
- Demographic information, including, without limitation, your age, gender, race, and/or other self-identification information you may choose to provide. Note that certain of your demographic information may be considered “sensitive personal information” under applicable laws, and Block Media will collect and process sensitive personal information in accordance with such laws.
- Preference information, such as music and artist preferences and Creator Content you consume.
- User-generated content and messages, such as information you post to the Platform or messages you send us when requesting customer support.
b. Information We Collect From Your Computer or Device. As you use the Platform, we and our Suppliers may automatically collect information about the computer or device you use to access the Platform. This session-based information may include your IP address, browser type, browser language, operating system, the state or country from which you accessed the Platform, software and hardware attributes (including device IDs), referring and exit pages and URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, files you download, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time you used the Platform, error logs, and other similar information. From your IP address, we may be able to infer your general location (e.g., city/state or postal code). To collect this information, we and our Suppliers may also make use of “cookies” or similar tools that track, measure, and analyze the behaviors and usage patterns of our users as further described in Section 4 below.
c. Information We Collect From Others. We and our Suppliers may receive information about you from other sources, including third parties that help us update, expand, and analyze our records or prevent or detect fraud. We and our Suppliers may also receive information about you from social media platforms, for example when you interact with us on those platforms or access our social media content. In addition, if you choose to log in, access or otherwise connect to the Platform, or contact us, through a social networking service (such as Facebook), we and our Suppliers may collect your user ID and username associated with that social networking service, as well as any information you make public using that social networking service. We and our Suppliers may also collect information you have authorized the social networking service to disclose to us. Information received through such platforms is governed by the privacy settings, policies, and procedures of the platform, and we encourage you to review them.
Use of Your Information
We and our Suppliers may use the information collected from and about you for various purposes, including without limitation, the following (collectively, “
Our Purposes ”):- To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform;
- To operate and administer any proposals, events, or promotions you participate in on any site or application;
- To respond to your comments and questions and to provide customer service;
- To send information including, without limitation, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages;
- With your consent, to send you marketing e-mails about new proposals, opportunities, upcoming events, and other news, including, without limitation, information about products and services offered by us and our affiliates. You may opt out of receiving such information at any time. Please note, even if you opt out of receiving marketing emails, we may still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include emails about your User Account with us (if you have one) and our business dealings with you; and
- As we believe necessary or appropriate (a) to comply with applicable laws; (b) to comply with lawful requests and legal process, including, without limitation, to respond to requests from public and government authorities; (c) to enforce our privacy policy; and (d) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of you or others.
We may also use information you provide to better serve you, and, if you have given your consent for us to do so, to send you email or text messages concerning offers from our partners and other third parties that we think may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive marketing emails, you may follow the “unsubscribe” or “stop” instructions included within each communication.
How We Disclose Information
We and our Suppliers may disclose your information in the following ways:
- Our Affiliates. To our affiliates and subsidiaries (including companies under common ownership or control) in order to provide the Platform to you.
- Third-Party Service Providers. To our vendors, third party service providers and agents in connection with Our Purposes. These parties may include web analytics service providers, such as Google Analytics. We will provide these third parties only with the information they need to deliver the service we have requested, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
- With Your Consent. To other third parties or for other reasons when you give us consent to do so.
- Sale or Transfer of Business or Assets. In connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, or dissolution transaction or proceeding involving the sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets. In such circumstances, your information may also be transferred as a business asset. If another company acquires our business, or assets, that company will possess the information maintained by us and may continue to use it for compatible purposes. Any such company will assume the rights and obligations regarding your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
- Compliance with Law. When we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement or other government agencies. We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may, without providing notice to you, disclose any information about users, including personal information, to government or law enforcement officials or private parties where we are required to do so by law, including, without limitation, in response to a court order or subpoena. We may also, without providing notice to you, disclose your information in response to a request by a law enforcement agency or other public agency or if we believe such disclosure may prevent or mitigate the threat of crime or harm to users or others, facilitate an investigation related to a user’s safety or public safety, protect the security or integrity of our Platform, or enable us to take precautions against liability.
- Maintaining our Platform. When we believe it is necessary to protect Block Media, our business or our users, for example to enforce our Terms of Use, prevent spam or other unwanted communications and investigate or protect against fraud, or otherwise to maintain the security of our Platform, products or services.
- Other Legitimate Business Purposes. When it may be necessary for other legitimate purposes as reasonably determined by us and in accordance with applicable law. Such purposes include our interests in conducting our business, fulfilling contractual obligations, and managing and delivering the best services on the Platform.
Processing the data collected through the Platform is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes related to Our Purposes. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the operation of the Platform, and to perform services related to administration of the Platform (including, without limitation, maintenance, hosting and database management services, web analytics and administration and legal services). These third parties have access to users’ personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf. We may share information with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling, other commercial purposes, or to deliver targeted advertising about other products and services.
Analytics, Cookies and Similar Technologies
A. Pixel Tags. We may also use pixel tags (which are also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) on the Platform to track the actions of users on our sites and applications. Unlike cookies, which are stored on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device by a website, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on webpages. Pixel tags measure the success of our marketing campaigns and compile statistics about usage of the Platform, so that we can manage our content more effectively. The information we collect using pixel tags is not linked to our users’ personal data.
B. Do Not Track Signals. Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online Platform that you visit. We currently do respond to do not track signals. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.
C. Cookies. We may collect information using “cookies,” which are small data files stored on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device by a website. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer or mobile device until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience when using or accessing the Platform.
We may use two broad categories of cookies: (1) first party cookies, served directly by us to your computer or mobile device, which are used only by us to recognize your computer or mobile device when it revisits any site or application that is part of the Platform; and (2) third party cookies, which are served by the service providers on other sites or applications and can be used by such service providers to recognize your computer or mobile device when it visits other websites.
The Platform may deploy the following types of cookies for the purposes set out below:
Essential Cookies
These cookies are essential to provide you with information available through the Platform and to enable you to use some of its features. For example, they allow you to log in to secure areas of sites or applications and help the content of the pages you request load quickly. Without these cookies, the information that you have asked for cannot be provided, and we only use these cookies to provide you with this information.
Functionality Cookies
These cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you make when you use a site or application, such as remembering your language preferences, remembering your login details and remembering the changes you make to other parts of your account, or preferences. The purpose of these cookies is to provide you with a more personal experience and to avoid you having to re-enter your preferences every time you use the Platform.
Analytics and Performance Cookies
These cookies are used to collect information about traffic to the Platform and how users use the Platform. The information gathered does not identify any individual visitor. The information is aggregated and anonymous. It includes the number of visitors to, the websites that referred them, the pages visited, what time of day they visited, whether they have visited before, and other similar information. We use this information to help operate the Platform more efficiently, to gather broad demographic information and to monitor the level of activity on our Platform.

These cookies are used when you disclose information using a social media sharing button or “like” button on any site or application for the Platform or you link your account or engage with our content on or through a social networking website such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. The social network will record that you have done this.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may have certain rights with respect to your information as further described in this section. If you would like further information in relation to your legal rights under applicable law or would like to exercise any of them, please contact us using the information in the “Questions About Our Privacy Policy” section below at any time. Your local laws may permit you to request that we: (1) provide access to and/or a copy of certain information we hold about you; (2) update information which is out of date or incorrect; and/or (3) delete certain information which we are holding about you.
We will consider all requests and provide our response within the period stated by applicable law and as otherwise required by applicable law. Please note, however, that certain information may be exempt from such requests in some circumstances, which may include if we need to keep processing your information for our legitimate business interests or to comply with a legal obligation. Please also note that your request for deletion of such data, however, may affect our ability to provide you with our services. We reserve the right to verify the identity of any person making an opt-out or correct/update request but shall have no liability whatsoever resulting from false or erroneous requests.
Your Choices and Opt-Outs
You may choose to provide us with your email address for the purpose of allowing us to send newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials related to our Services, as well as targeted offers from third parties. You can stop receiving these promotional emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” links in the emails or sending a request to the email address in the “Contact Us” section below. Please note that it may take some time to process your request in accordance with our legal requirements. If you decide not to receive promotional emails, we may still send you service-related and other transactional communications.
Children’s Policy
The Platform is not designed or directed to minors under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of applicable law, we will delete any personal information we have collected, unless we have a legal obligation to keep it, and terminate the child’s account.
Retention
We retain information for the period necessary to fulfill Our Purposes. In some cases, we retain information for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. Afterwards, we retain some information in a depersonalized or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you personally.
Cross-Border Transfers
If you visit the Platform from a country other than the United States, your communications may result in the transfer of your information across national borders. Our servers or offices may be located in countries other than the country from which you access the Platform, also resulting in the transfer of your information across international borders. If you provide your information when visiting the Platform from outside of the United States, you acknowledge and agree that this data may be transferred from your then current location to our offices and servers and to those of our affiliates, agents, and service providers located in the United States and in other countries. The United States and such other countries may not have the same level of data protection as those that apply in the jurisdiction where you live.
Security and Encryption
We follow generally accepted industry standards to help protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet, mobile technology, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. Therefore, while we endeavor to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality of the information that we collect online, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The Platform has security measures in place designed to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us at support@demu.pro.
California Shine the Light Disclosure
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request one Notice of Information-Sharing Disclosure per year which will identify the third parties, if any, with whom we or any of our affiliates has disclosed the personal information we have collected from you. You may request the Notice of Information-Sharing Disclosure by writing to us by contacting us using the contact information below, and we will respond to your request within 60 days.
Third Party Links
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. If you choose to use these links and features, please note that we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and that the use of such links and features may result in information such as your IP address and information collected through cookies being shared with the third parties that control these links and features. The collection, use, and disclosure of your information will be subject to the privacy policies of such third parties, and not this Privacy Policy. We urge you to read the privacy policies of these third parties if you choose to interact with these links and features.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change the terms of the Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If there are material changes to this statement or in how we will use your information, we will notify you by prominently posting a notice of such changes here or on our home page, or by sending you an email. We encourage you to review this policy whenever you visit one of our websites or applications.
